Ok, I'm at work so just a really quick message...

This month I'm full of projects and things I'm doing... and I'm also often away for weekends  far from the pc! So I'm even less active than usual, here...

I'm sorry if I haven't replied to some messages, or haven't said "thank you" for the faves one by one... I'm trying to reply to everything now and in the following days, even if very much in late, for someone. I hope I'll not forget anyone... ^^" please, bear with me!

Btw, for who may wonder (who?), I love my oils lessons... my teacher is a wonderful painter and a wonderful person.
The first thing I did were some big color studies... a 12x12 grid!
I had some very bad memories about this kind of stuff during my highschool, I wasn't really good in staying in the squares and my canvas always ended up quite messy... my highschool teacher were always telling me something like "your paintings can be used at the bottom of a bird cage"... he always had a different way to tell me how bad he considered my work, someone can find it funny, I didn't.
So, when I had to do that kind of work again, I was a bit afraid... and the canvas was dirty and messy again, squares looks like circles and so on. When I had to show my work to my actual teacher I was all like "I'm so sorry, I know it's messy... I'm not good in make the squares straight..."... he watched me as I was saying something really funny and told me "this is a color study, I don't care about the squares, I just want the colors to be right, and they are actually quite good".
It may sound a very simple thing, and it is... but perhaps even simple things like this are needed. Now I'm trying my first oil portrait, the highschoolgirl-me who wasn't even able to do a color study "right" wouldn't never had the confidence to try it.

Well, I ended up chatting too much as usual... ^^" better to go back to work now!

Heh, glad to see I'm not the only one on here when I should be working, and that someone else has some bad oil painting memories.

I sent the pixelbrush project back to you, btw. ;)

guarda, sono davvero sollevata... avevo paura di imbarcarmi in un incubo autoindotto, invece mi trovo piuttosto bene! (anche se mi sporco da matti!)
