Description

Since it was #mermay (yes, I know, it's June now...) and mermaids were also the theme of the design challenge group on facebook, I wanted to chime in! It's a quick character design, I won't be here apologizing for every and each flaw, but I liked the idea of a mermaid inspired by tropical fishes and so I painted it :)

The colors of this are completely stunning for one thing.  Very beautiful.  But I also really like the way you played with the design and turned it into something just a bit different.  I don't believe I've seen someone turn the arms into fins/flippers like that before.  They will sometimes still have fins and flippers, but they'll almost always have "human" arms with hands.  It's just a very interesting and unique design choice and I really like it!
